What's Really Fair?

She’s almost there. After another full day of laying strips, we are just a few more away from covering the log portion of our hull for good. The cedar stripping shows us plainly what little imperfections were left in the pine and we are looking forward to the cedar sanding down with very little effort.

Tomorrow we will begin to fair the cedar and we will complete sanding the lower half of the hull before we cover the cedar topsides planks with wider and slightly thicker strips of mahogany. Where the mahogany meets the cedar, we will be able to establish a nice and crispy line along the high chine that runs the length of the hull.
