On Time and Under Budget
I mean, at least it seems like it. The canoe looks fast, what more do you need? We got to take the chainsaw to the outside of the hull for the last time today. After a kerf here and a dub there up in the bow this morning it was all power planes and some 80 grit sandpaper for the rest of the day. Now we are just about ready to glue and then will complete a series of fairings with hand planes and sandpaper.
Come next week we will do a test fit with ratchet straps before gluing to check all of the log seams. With all of the logs tuned up we will be ready to mix up some epoxy and with a couple of warm days mid week, we will have a cohesive hull by the end of the week.
