Break out the Igloos

What a sight it was to see snow falling throughout the yard this morning. The backdrop of flurries from under the protection of the corn crib made us only happier for our new digs. We spent the day moving other tools over to our work space and getting the logs situated. The wind and rain cranked up over the course of the morning though and ensured that we need to make some additions to our work space.

This afternoon we laid out the top cuts for both garboard logs and will take the excess off of both ends of each garboard tomorrow. These cuts will be to establish the chine that we have made on the center log already will serve as a reference point for joining our logs together. We will also be adding plastic tarp sides of the corn crib to protect us from the elements and to provide a suitable climate to glue logs together in the coming weeks.
